Meet the Coach

Hello! My name is Shauna Sweeney and I am the K-2 Literacy Coach for SES. I have a passion for all things ELA. As an Instructional Coach, I support educators to improve student learning so that we can meet the literacy needs of our youngest students.

I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Instructional Coaching. I have worked in Rutherford County for the past 15 years, mostly as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher. I love teaching and education!  My goal as an Instructional Coach is to foster active and engaged student learning by supporting teachers in best practices.
