you for attending our annual Title One meeting and parent orientation please sign in using the code every year we hold this meeting to explain what a tie when school is and how it impacts families this meeting you will learn about Title 1 funding and how it is used as well as learn about the parent School connection Middle School receives funding from the federal government and support students in a variety of ways it also provides opportunities for parent engagement and training Title One guarantee certain rights to parents regarding access to information about the school its teachers and decisions made at the school and District level Sons may be used any of these ways to benefit the entire School here we have hired to academic interventionist to instructional coaches and a stem teacher using title 15 we have purchased English language arts instructional materials and intervention supplies also purchased programs to support our stew it's in the classroom at least $5,000 full be spent on parent engagement this year Smyrna Elementary will host parent nights and Via purchase didn't come in patient folders in your child's communication folder on ClassDojo and on the SES website you can find a parent and family engagement policy you can also find the district's policy on the Rutherford County Schools website student School parent and family compact is an agreement also found in your child's communication folder on ClassDojo and on the way site it details information about the school curriculum and opportunities for parents to be involved with our school be encouraged parents and families to become involved in education of their children in the following ways we would also like to encourage you to use ClassDojo to communicate your needs to the teacher and or school elementary uses the Tennessee academic standards you can find all Creek elem information on the County's website students in grades 2 through 5 take the tnready assessment and a variety of benchmarks that will be used to make instructional decisions in every content area are 2020 to 2023 data improved in overall can see from the previous academic school year you can find our state report card which includes state district and school-wide level data on the Tennessee Department of Education web night each year our school designs at school Improvement plan that incorporates goals strategies and action steps in the spa parents are invited to attend a planning meeting to offer insight and ideas to help improve Smyrna Elementary it is very important that your child is at school everyday chronic absenteeism is when your child misses 18 days of school during the school year here is a list of ways to help your child be successful you are encouraged to also visit the Rutherford County Schools website for more information about Federal programs please use this Ode to complete a survey that will tell us what your needs and interests are if you do not have time to fill it out now you can request a paper copy and return it to your child's teacher thank you for your time
